Asparagus Mushroom Soup

Time: 15 minutes prep + 30 minutes cooking
Serves: 4–6

1⁄2 cup finely diced onion sauté until golden cook 2 minutes cook until tender gradually add, stirring constantly add garnish
6 Tbsp butter
3 Tbsp flour
1⁄2 lb mushrooms, sliced
4 cups chicken stock bring to a simmer cook until tender
1⁄2 lb asparagus, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 cup evaporated milk
1⁄4 tsp garlic salt
